Samira started singing at a very early age of her life. Her first appearance on Moroccan TV was on a programe called Mowahab when she was still a young child. The Legendary Egyptian Singer Abdel Haleem Hafez who was a friend of the family heard her and invited her to come to Cairo to learn music and singing, but her family wanted her to finish her studies first. She later traveled to Egypt, however her first experiences there were not that successful which made her pack her stuff and get back to Morocco.
She was then encouraged again by composer Mohammed Sultan and she made another try which was more successful this time. She launched two consecutive songs which received a very great success in the Arabic countries and placed her on the right track. The Two songs were Mush Hatnazel Annak Abaden and AAl Jani Baad Youmein.
Samira is nowaday one of the most famous and respected Star in the Arab world and her songhs continue to rank on the top of most chart list.
