Presence (Led Zeppelin /'76)
Robert Plant의 아들이 사망을 하게 되고 이러한 연유로
본작이 늦게 발표되는 바람에 Led Zeppelin은 해체 한 것이
아니냐는 소문이 돌았었다.
모든 슬픔을 이기고 그룹에 복귀하여 Robert Plant는 이전 작품들보다
더욱 가슴 저미는 목소리를 선보인다. 디자인 그룹 Hynobsis가 제작한
본 앨범 쟈켓은 Zeppelin의 다른 쟈켓에 비교하여 가장 신경을 쓴 작품이라고 한다.
1976년 발표 된 7집 'Presence'는 어떠한 홍보와 밴드의 활동도 없이
순식간에 골드 레코드를 획득하여 다시 한번 Led Zeppelin의 명성을
실감 할 수 있게 한다.
John Bonham의 화려한 드럼 연주가 귓전을 때리는 10분이 넘는
대곡 'Archilles Last Stand'는 Jimmy의 기타와 Robert의 보컬 그리고
John의 베이스가 모두 훌륭하지만 그 중에서도 John Bonham의 드럼 소리는
아직도 귓속을 맴돌고 있는 것 같다.
그리고 마지막 곡 'Tea For One'에서 오래간만에 듣는 Jimmy Page의
블루스 연주는 감개무량할 따름이다.
1976년에 발매됐던 7집 [Presence]는 독일 뮌헨의 뮤직랜드 스튜디오에서 있었던
18일의 세션 기간 동안 녹음된 앨범이다.
영국과 미국에서 차트 1위를 차지하며 트리플 플래티넘을 기록한다.
