This is the story of El Lute
A man who was born to be hunted like a wild animal
Because he was poor
But he refused to accept his fate
And today his honor has been restored
이 이야기는 가난하게 태어나
짐승처럼 쫓기며 살아야 했던
El Lute의 이야기입니다.
그러나 그는 그의 운명을 받아들이기를 거부했고

He was only nineteen
And he was sentenced to die
For something that somebody else did
And blamed on El Lute
Then they changed it to life
And so he could escape
From then on they chased him
And searched for him day and night
all over Spain
But the search was in vain for El Lute

El Lute에게 뒤집어씌운 것이죠.
그것이 종신형으로 바뀌고 나서
그는 도망칠 수 있게 되었고

그들은 온 스페인을 다 뒤졌지만
El Lute를 찾는 데 실패했답니다.

The man they called El Lute
And he wanted a home just like you and like me
In a country where all would be free
So he taught himself to read and to write
It didn't help El Lute
He was one who had dared to escape overnight
They had to find El Lute
그는 삶의 어두운 면만을 보고 살아야 했습니다.
El Lute라 불리웠던 그 사람은
당신이나 나처럼 따뜻한 가정을 가지고 싶어 했습니다.
모두가 자유를 누리는 나라에서 살고 싶어 했죠.
그래서 그는 읽기와 쓰기를 혼자 배웠지만
도움이 되지 않았습니다.
그는 밤새도록 도망 다녀야 했고
그들은 끝까지 El Lute를 찾았습니다
Soon the fame of his name
Spread like wild fire all over the land
With a price on his head
People still gave him bread
And they gave him a hand
For they knew he was right
And his fight was their fight
곧 그의 명성은 온 나라에 들불처럼 퍼져 나갔습니다.
머리엔 현상금이 걸린 채로..
그래도 사람들은 그에게 빵도 주고
숨겨주기까지 했습니다..
왜냐면 그들은 그가 옳다는 것을 알고 있었고
그의 싸움이 곧 그들의 싸움라는 걸 알고 있었기 때문이죠.
No one gave him a chance
In the Spain of those days
On the walls every place they had put up
The face of El Lute
And he robbed where he could just like once Robin Hood
They finally caught him and
That seemed the end
But they caught him in vain
Cause a change came for Spain
And El Lute
아무도 기회와 희망을 갖기 힘들었죠.
그 당시 스페인에서는
방방곡곡 El Lute의 얼굴이 벽에 붙어 있었답니다.
그리고 그는 로빈 후드처럼 도둑질을 했습니다..
결국 그들은 그를 붙잡았고
이제 그것이 마지막처럼 보였습니다.
그러나 결국 붙잡은 것도 소용이 없게 됐어요.
스페인에 변화가 찾아 왔기 때문입니다.

모든 이들이 자유를 누리는 나라를 원했죠.
그리고 결국 이 나라엔 자유가 찾아 왔고
이제 그는 새로운 광명의 날을 맞아 당당히 걸어갈 수 있어요.
그들은 그를 El Lute라고 불렀답니다.
